Rancho Bernardo CA junior Ashley Callahan, the reigning state champion, placed second with a 13-0.75 (3.98m) clearance in the women's elite division at the Vaulter Club Vaulter Magazine Big Red Barn Meet in Menifee, Calif. Callahan, who overcame a bee sting on her foot in the past week, hadn't competed since a 13-5 clearance (4.08m) on Feb. 8 to win the California Winter Outdoor Championships.
